I am Saemi Takahashi, a 4th year student in the Department of International Relations at Kobe City University of Foreign Studies. As serving the Secretary General, it is our great pleasure to host the 2023 Japan University English Model United Nations Conference here in Kobe. I am truly honored to welcome all of the participants to discuss pressing issues together to achieve the rights of children and adolescents who carry the future of the world. There may be some challenges, but there is always a view that we can see after taking the first steps. I hope the conference will be a great opportunity for every single one of you to find new insights and develop yourself.
